Specific objectives:

1. Promoting the entrepreneurial and innovator spirit of young persons from the cross – border area and increasing the cooperation between them with the view of developing the cross – border durable economy.
2. Identifying and supporting the young entrepreneurs’ initiatives regarding the cross – border cooperation by improving the access to information, encouraging the development between the two regions and identifying models of good practices through training, assistance and consultancy support activities.
3. Developing a joint fund of Romanian – Bulgarian experts; creating a web instrument to ensure a permanent connection between the cross – border young entrepreneurs, thus providing the setting up of an informal network of potential associations.

Main activities:

1. Developing a website as a working tool
Objective: Projecting and establishing a viable and modern working tool, perfectly adapted to the needs of formation/training/information of young entrepreneurs.
This activity will have as objective the creation of a web tool that will answer to the needs of a dynamic target group in search of up-to-date information as to what concerns the formation/training/the business opportunities and the setting up of viable cross – border associations, which are necessary to the durable economic development of the three cross – border areas.

The web page will have the following structure:
- a subdomain dedicated to the trusteeship, where persons in search of punctual consultancy in certain fields will be able to register. At this sub domain the selected experts will offer assistance;
- a subdomain dedicated to online formation (online business plans), where young entrepreneurs and persons interested in developing their own business will find general information regarding the steps of developing a business;
- a subdomain dedicated to obtaining information about different financing programs, endowed with a possibility of accessing a data base of young entrepreneurs, SMEs, associations of SMEs, NGOs’, other organizations interested in economic development from both Romania and Bulgaria;
- a subdomain dedicated to the research carried out in the context of the project and of the study report;
- a subdomain that will provide information and useful links for developing entrepreneurship.

2. Research – documentation
Objective: Obtaining up-to-date data about the situation and the way of managing the business of the SMEs from the project’s three target areas.

The study will be implemented by using a questionnaire whose purpose will represent the establishment of the way in which modern management tools are used by the Romanian and Bulgarian SMEs.

3. Training seminars
Objective: Implementing modern techniques of management in the SMEs’ sector, increasing the quality of the activity in the entrepreneurial field and of the young persons’ involvement in this sector.

There will be organized three training/formation sessions dedicated to the young entrepreneurs from the three target regions: Olt County, Romania and Ruse and Vratsa regions, Bulgaria, aiming to increase the managerial quality in the SMEs’ sector.

4. Setting up the Young Entrepreneurs Cooperation Association from the Romanian – Bulgarian cross – border area
Objective: Setting up a formal association which will have a role in the durable economic development and in the cooperation between the cross – border SMEs.

There will be prepared and opened three local offices, one for each of the three areas proposed in the context of the project – an office at Slatina, one at Ruse and one at Vratsa.

5. “Young Entrepreneurs’ Day”
Objective: Implementing an inter-regional event with an impact at the level of the information exchange and of the good practices distinguished in the SMEs’ sector of the three target areas.

The event will be implemented during one day at Slatina. Young entrepreneurs from the three cross-border areas, local authorities, other SMEs, NGOs, Commerce Chambers, Employers’ Associations and mass-media will be invited to take part at the event. The purpose of organizing this event is that of promoting the innovator entrepreneurial spirit, closing partnerships and debating on themes of general interests for the SMEs’ sector. Furthermore, at this forum the most competitive SMEs managed by young persons, discovered as a result of the research – documentation process, will be awarded. The prize award consists of diplomas and trophies.
